Posted on May 28, 2009 Awesome English Earthenware Compote ~ Turquoise and Gold Flower ~ Pattern “Gem” ~Powell, Bishop & Stonier P B &S 1878 - 1891. This pattern is a simple one, but absolutely beautiful. It consists of small stylized floral branches over the center of the compote. The flowers are a wonderful raised enamel turquoise with red centers and gold with red centers and are attached to deep brown stems. The leaves are a darker turquoise and outlined in deep chocolate brown. The border is an alternating checkerboard of small squares of gold and rust brown.
